Sibiu – Jina – Sugag – Sebes – Sibiu

The departure is from Petrom Sibiu gas station, heading towards Rusciori on Calea Șurii Mici.
From Rusciori to the DJ142B junction there’s an off-road section of roughly 5 km – a country track through forest and past two sheep farms. Watch out here, as shepherds sometimes let their dogs loose.

From Săliște towards Jina we ride approximately 30 km of off-road, with gentle switchbacks and some absolutely stunning panoramas. Be sure to stop near Crinț cabin and at the summit of Guga Mare peak at 1,368 m. The difficulty of this section moves toward medium after rain, so keep an eye on your tires.

The route continues towards Șugag. If you fancy a good pastry or langos, turn left at the junction to Șugag from the village of Dobra, then climb up to Oașa Dam on DN67C (Transalpina).

We then head towards Râpa Roșie, turning left after Sebeșel in the direction of Cugir. Here we make a small detour for a coffee in Cugir or a visit to the Dacian Fortress Singidava and the Water Tower.

Getting from Sebeș to Râpa Roșie involves a forest track of approximately 3.2 km.

The return to Sibiu runs on DN7 from Sebeș to Miercurea Sibiului, then a slight left towards Apoldu, then left again towards Ocna Sibiului. From Halta Ocna to Sibiu we climb the hill to Șura Mare – roughly 7 km of forest road.
